Services and Support we offer
Held on Zoom Platform at present
Due to COVID-19 our monthly support meetings are currently being held on-line over the Zoom platform. Please visit our Support meetings page for further information.
Someone to talk to when you want to talk, who will have an understanding of how you might be feeling because they have been there, and who will listen for as long as you wish to talk.
Befrienders are always available at our support meetings, but they can also provide support by offering telephone support and email support if you find this way the easiest.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to talk, it's why we are here.

Book of Remembrance / Memorial Page
@ Ayrshire Maternity Unit
The Book of Remembrance @ Ayrshire Maternity Unit was started in 1990. There is now more than one and they are kept in the bereavement room at the hospital. The books are in a loose-leaf format and entries are placed in date order. There are two types of entries, one for Stillbirths and one for Neo-natals.
The Book of Remembrance is a place our babies details can be recorded along with a poem or verse. Not only do we provide the completed certificate to place in the book, but we can also provide a duplicate copy of the certificate that can be sent to you for you to keep, if you wish, free of charge.
The Memorial Page is here on our website and is a place that anyone with any stage of loss, miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal death, can place an entry for their baby, please visit our memorial page here for more details and to see entries.
In cases where a baby was buried some time ago, but the parents were not told where, we may be able to locate your baby's final resting place with our contacts with all three Ayrshire Councils and Funeral Directors.
For more information on this service please contact us with any and all details you have on the baby and both parents at the time of birth and we will do all we can to help.
Memorial Trees (inside)
Copper Tree / Heart plaques
During 2018, we installed a beautiful copper memorial love tree in the Sanctuary room (previously known as the Chapel) at Crosshouse Hospital, this tree holds little heart shaped brass plaques which are engraved with the name and date of birth/passing of our precious babies.
Due to the popularity of this tree, in the summer of 2020 we installed another one in the Sanctuary room (previously known as the Chapel) at Ayr hospital.
If you would like a heart shaped brass plaque placed on either of these trees, please click the link below and complete the form.
Memorial Tree (outside)
Corten Steel Tree / Leaf plaques
We had been contacted by a number of bereaved parents who asked if we could have a tree in a non-religious place. To answer this request we decided to go for an outside setting. So in the Autumn 2020, we purchased a 120cm corten steel memorial tree to be mounted onto a concrete bass in Corsehill Park, Ayr. This tree holds little leaf shaped anodised aluminium plaques which are engraved with the name and date of birth / passing of our precious babies.
Due to the pandemic, works were put on hold and we are presently waiting for the tree to be mounted.
As soon as works are completed our website will be updated and we will announce on our social media channels and local press.
